Multiple antenna channels with partial feedback

چکیده
We consider flat-fading multiple antenna channels with t transmit and r receive antennas, which is modeled by an r × t complex matrix H . The first n eigenvectors of H†H , where 0 ≤ n ≤ min(t, r), are assumed to be available at the transmitter as partial spatial information of channel. A transmission method was proposed which enables better use of the multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channels [1]. By using the transmission scheme, the MIMO channel can be decomposed into two parts: n parallel channels and a new small coupled MIMO channel. One reasonable coding strategy is to employ conventional time-domain only code for each of the parallel channels and a space-time code for the small MIMO channel. This paper focuses on deriving the channel capacity of the multiple antenna channels employing such a coding strategy. The results show that the proposed methods lead to systems wherein the amount of feedback information can be significantly reduced with a minor sacrifice of achievable transmission rate.

Bounds for Multiple-Access Relay Channels with Feedback via Two-way Relay Channel
In this study, we introduce a new two-way relay channel and obtain an inner bound and an outer bound for the discrete and memoryless multiple access relay channels with receiver-source feedback via two-way relay channel in which end nodes exchange signals by a relay node. And we extend these results to the Gaussian case. By numerical computing, we show that our inner bound is the same with o...

Multiple antenna transmission and reception have been shown to significantly increase the achievable data rates of wireless systems. However, most of the existing analysis assumes perfect or no channel information at the receiver and transmitter. The performance gap between these extreme channel assumptions is large and most practical systems lie in between. Therefore, it is important to analyz...

Two topics in fading channels with a strict delay constraint and a resolution-constrained feedback link are treated in this thesis.First, a multi-layer variable-rate single-antenna communication systemwith quantized feedback, where the expected rate is chosen as the per-formance measure, is studied under both short-term and long-term powerconstraints. Iterative algorithms ex...

In this paper, we investigate a general class of partial channel state information feedback strategies for communication over flat fading multiple antenna channels with t transmitters and r receivers. Specifically, we consider scenarios where the partial channel state information is sent back from the receiver to the transmitter in the form of n beamformer vectors with corresponding power alloc...
متن کاملMaximum-Likelihood Sequence Detection of Multiple Antenna Systems over Dispersive Channels via Sphere Decoding
Multiple antenna systems are capable of providing high data rate transmissions over wireless channels. When the channels are dispersive, the signal at each receive antenna is a combination of both the current and past symbols sent from all transmit antennas corrupted by noise. The optimal receiver is a maximum-likelihood sequence detector and is often considered to be practically infeasible due...
